關於 tomica.toys
本篇指南目前僅提供英文版。
tomica.toys is an independent reference site for Tomica die-cast models. It exists because finding out which car sits behind a given Tomica number, when it came out and what it replaced is surprisingly hard: numbers are recycled, Japanese and English names differ, and most of the useful information is scattered across community wikis, retailer listings and old catalogues.
We are not an official Takara Tomy website and we have no connection to TAKARA TOMY. TOMICA, TOMICA PREMIUM, TOMICA LIMITED VINTAGE and DREAM TOMICA are trademarks of TAKARA TOMY, used here only to identify the products described. See the disclaimer.
What we do
- Index Tomica models by number, name, Japanese name, series, brand and release date.
- Show what a number was used for previously, and what the current casting replaced.
- Record the source for each fact, so you can check it yourself.
- Provide free tools — a model finder, a variant compare, a collection checklist with share codes, and a display case calculator.
What we do not do
- We do not sell Tomica ourselves.
- We do not copy text or images from other sites or from manufacturers.
- We do not publish a model page unless it has verified data behind it. Pages without sources stay out of the index.
- We do not price guide or appraise individual cars.
Where the data comes from
Every fact on this site is compiled from public sources, then cross-checked before it is published. We do not invent values, and we do not scrape private databases.
- Takara Tomy official product pages (takaratomy.co.jp) — the primary source. The current regular and Dream Tomica line-ups are read straight from the manufacturer's own product listings, which gives us the official Japanese model name, the official product photo, the moving-parts description and the JAN barcode for every number currently on sale (No. 1 – No. 150 plus Dream Tomica). Where our older data disagreed, the official page wins.
- Community databases and wikis — Tomica Fandom wiki and comparable community lists, used for historical number assignments, predecessors and earlier release dates.
- Retailer and hobby shop listings — used to confirm release months and to spot variants, never as the only source for a fact.
- Public vehicle references — manufacturer and Wikipedia data for the real car behind a casting (brand, body type, generation).
There is no complete official historical API for Tomica, so coverage of older models is uneven by nature. Where we cannot confirm a value — a release date, a scale, a variant — the page says “not recorded” rather than filling in a guess. Each model page links the sources used for it.
Photography on model pages shows the Tomica die-cast model itself — the official product photo, not a picture of the full-size car. Images come from three places, in this order of preference: the Takara Tomy official product pages, the Takara Tomy official flagship store on Tmall(多美官方旗舰店), and the Tomica Wiki community database as a fallback for castings that are no longer listed. Every image is credited on the page where it appears, with a link back to the source product or file. They are used for identification and reference, and are not used to imply any endorsement by Takara Tomy. The full credit list is on the DMCA & image credits page.
Chinese model names (中文名) follow the naming used by the manufacturer and its official flagship store, so they match what the product is actually sold as in China. Where a casting is not currently on sale, we use the standard published Chinese name instead of translating loosely.
Advertising and affiliate disclosure
This site is free to use and is funded by advertising. We plan to run Google AdSense and Adsterra advertising, and some outbound links to marketplaces are affiliate links marked sponsored. If you buy through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Advertising never changes what we list or how we rank models. Details of what advertising partners may collect — and how to opt out of personalised ads — are in the Privacy Policy.
